• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shift Schedule: Days and nights; every other weekend rotation; holidays as needed
• Orientation: 20 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Float Requirement: Required as needed to similar units

Job Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification from AHA
• Minimum 2 years of acute care Registered Nurse experience within the last 3 years
• Telemetry nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start
• Travel nursing experience required
• Ability to care for adult and geriatric patient populations

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a medical-surgical telemetry environment
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and manage therapies including blood products, insulin drips, and IV protocols as ordered
• Perform central line, PICC line, and peripheral line care and management
• Support oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management
• Use strong clinical judgment to recognize dysrhythmias and escalate concerns quickly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, IV teams, and rapid response resources
• Float to like units as needed to support patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold professional standards in a teaching-hospital environment
