• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shift Schedule: Day/Night rotations, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Estimated Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend rotation
• Orientation: 20 hours
• Setting: Adult Med/Surg Telemetry unit

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
• Experience starting IVs required
• Current BLS certification through AHA required
• Epic charting experience required
• Telemetry experience and ability to successfully pass a telemetry exam prior to start
• Strong clinical skills in medical-surgical nursing and telemetry nursing
• Ability to work rotating day/night shifts and weekends as scheduled
• Comfort caring for a diverse adult and geriatric patient population
• Willingness to float as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Start and maintain IVs, manage central access, and support medication administration
• Deliver care for patients requiring wound care, oxygen therapy, feeding tube management, and dysrhythmia monitoring
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, PT, radiology, phlebotomy, and rapid response teams
• Support a safe, respectful environment while caring for patients with a range of complex needs
• Float to other areas as needed based on unit and patient care demands
• Successfully complete required telemetry testing before assignment start
