• Position: Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment
• Location: Madison, WI 53792
• Schedule: Day and night 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• Orientation: 20 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Setting: 28-bed acute care medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Schedule Expectations: Every other weekend rotation and holidays as needed
• Floating: Required to float to similar units as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification from the AHA
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
• Epic charting experience required
• Successful completion of a telemetry exam prior to start
• Travel nursing experience required
• Strong clinical skills in telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, blood product administration, central line care, IV insulin protocols, and rapid response support
• Comfort working with adult and geriatric patient populations

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to medical-surgical telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry findings
• Administer medications, blood products, and ordered therapies safely and accurately
• Support patients with oxygen therapy, IV management, insulin drips, and other specialized care needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote safe, efficient patient care
• Recognize changes in patient condition and escalate care when needed
• Float to similar units as assigned and contribute to team coverage
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
• Support a professional environment that values collaboration, education, and excellence in care
