Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse – Travel Nurse Contract in Madison, Wisconsin
Join a dynamic Med/Surg Tele travel nursing team in Madison, WI and provide high-quality inpatient care for adult and geriatric patients in a modern, well-equipped hospital setting. Job Details
- Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse

- Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Orientation: 20 hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
- Setting: Inpatient Med/Surg Tele unit serving adult and geriatric patients
- Additional Notes: Weekend and holiday rotations may be required based on operational needs; travelers must float as needed
Job Requirements
- Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
- Prior telemetry nursing experience required
- Epic EMR charting experience required
- Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start
- Travel nursing experience required
- Must be comfortable floating to support unit needs
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg Tele patients
- Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
- Perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and coordinate individualized care plans
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes
- Document accurately in Epic and maintain strong clinical communication
- Support weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
- Float as needed to meet patient care demands across compatible units
- Help maintain a calm, efficient, and compassionate patient care environment
