Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) - Columbus, Ohio

Labor & Delivery RN travel assignment in Columbus, OH: bring your high-acuity L&D experience to a Level 4 unit with about 450 deliveries per month. Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
• AWHONN Advanced required; NCC C-EFM accepted in lieu of AWHONN Advanced
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with IV starts and Labor & Delivery workflow required
• Must be comfortable floating to other nursing units within the organization as needed
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager, director, or other formal leader
• ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing education required
• Flu vaccine required unless medically exempt

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring and postpartum patients in a high-volume Labor & Delivery setting
• Monitor fetal and maternal status using advanced obstetrical assessment skills
• Perform IV starts, sterile vaginal exams, and other core L&D nursing procedures
• Support vaginal deliveries, C-sections, recovery, and post-delivery care
• Administer and manage medications and therapies such as Pitocin and magnesium sulfate per protocol
• Recognize and respond to changes in maternal or fetal condition quickly and effectively
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary support teams to deliver exceptional patient care
• Float to antepartum or other appropriate units when needed to support patient care demands
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain strong communication throughout the shift
