Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with pediatric critical care experience to deliver exceptional care in a dynamic PICU/CVPICU environment. This night-shift travel nursing opportunity is ideal for an adaptable RN who thrives in complex clinical settings and is confident floating to related pediatric and acute care units as needed.

Job Details

• Location: Columbus, OH 43205
• Healthcare Setting: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) / CVPICU
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse Job
• Shift: 3 x 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Floating: Required to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, PCU, and med-surg as needed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,470 - $2,600

Job Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• 2 years of PICU or CVPICU experience preferred
• Experience in a 30-bed or larger PICU preferred
• Strong pediatric critical care skills, including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, arterial line management, chest tube care, and central line care
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced hospital environment and float to related units as assigned
• 2 supervisory references required at time of submission, including at least one manager or supervisor reference

Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients with complex cardiac and respiratory needs
• Monitor and manage ventilated patients, vasoactive infusions, and hemodynamic instability
• Care for patients with congenital heart disease, heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and pre-/post-surgical needs
• Support patients with chest tubes, pacemaker wires, arterial lines, and mechanical support devices
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, high-quality outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Remain flexible and confident while floating to appropriate pediatric and acute care units
