Med-Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Contract – Cleveland, Ohio

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
• Location: Cleveland, Ohio
• Assignment Type: Travel contract
• Start Date: December 4, 2026
• End Date: March 5, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour days, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Weekend Requirement: Every Saturday and Sunday, plus one additional weekday shift
• Orientation: 16 hours

Med-Surg/Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or an active compact-state RN license in hand at the time of submission
• At least 1 year of recent permanent medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification
• Active ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification preferred
• One recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, director, or charge nurse in the specialty, preferably from an assignment completed within the past 12 months
• Active certifications must be in hand before submission; pending certifications are not accepted
• Ability to complete required background screening and pre-employment health and safety requirements
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation

Medical-Surgical and Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients during assigned day shifts
• Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in telemetry readings and clinical status, and escalate concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established protocols
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain a safe, organized, and patient-centered care environment
• Support weekend coverage requirements, including every Saturday and Sunday assignment
