Travel CT Technologist Job Details

• Location: Lynchburg, Virginia
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital CT department
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel assignment
• Start Date: November 30, 2026
• End Date: February 27, 2027
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830–$1,970
• Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week, Friday through Sunday
• Shift Options: 6:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
• Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week
• Float Requirement: None indicated
• Work Environment: Teaching hospital with regular interaction with students and new team members

CT Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent experience in CT technology, computed tomography, or a closely related specialty
• Completion of a two-year degree or an approved certification program in Radiologic Technology
• Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive, collaborative teaching environment
• Required return-to-organization documentation must be complete at the time of submission

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations safely and accurately in accordance with established computed tomography imaging protocols
• Prepare patients for CT procedures, explain examinations, and promote comfort and cooperation
• Operate CT equipment and assess image quality to support accurate diagnostic interpretation
• Follow radiation safety, infection prevention, and patient identification standards
• Document CT procedures and patient information accurately in the appropriate systems
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, nurses, providers, and other members of the healthcare team
• Contribute to a respectful learning environment by supporting students and new hires
