Travel RN Job Details

• Employment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Location: Garfield Heights, Ohio area, near Cleveland
• Start Date: November 20, 2026
• Contract End Date: February 19, 2027
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Healthcare Setting: On-site medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Orientation: Facility orientation is provided; required competency assessments are completed during orientation

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or an active compact-state license in hand at the time of submission
• At least 1 year of recent permanent medical-surgical and telemetry nursing experience
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Willingness to obtain NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification before the start date
• One recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, director, or charge nurse in the applicable specialty; references should be from the past 12 months
• All required licenses and certifications must be active and available at the time of submission
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation is required
• Ability to meet required background screening, health screening, and facility compliance standards

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a medical-surgical telemetry environment
• Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in cardiac rhythms, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with orders and clinical standards
• Monitor telemetry, vital signs, laboratory results, and other indicators of patient status
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, ancillary services, patients, and families to support positive outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly
• Promote patient safety, education, comfort, and continuity of care throughout the travel nursing assignment
