As a Medical Surgical RN on a 12-hour day shift, you'll work a 13-week contract with an impressive weekly gross compensation of around $2,470. This role is ideal for experienced nurses with at least 2 years of recent, specialized trauma or medical-surgical experience who thrive in challenging settings. The team-based nursing model ensures collaboration with LPNs and Med Nurses, with a typical patient ratio of 1:12 split across two RNs. While first-timers are generally not suited for this position, seasoned nurses with over five years in trauma or surgical units will find this assignment rewarding and engaging. Expect to participate in on-call duties as needed and potentially work weekend blocks, which can be discussed during your interview.
