Job description

This step down Registered Nurse (RN) role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a 629-bed short-term acute care facility, a Level II Trauma Center, and a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center located in Spokane, Washington. The contract is for 13 weeks, with night shifts running from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, giving you the chance to experience a different rhythm of hospital life. As a traveler in this position, you'll float between units, primarily managing cardiac drips, titrating medications, and handling patient care that requires critical thinking and responsiveness. The role demands experience with cardiac drips and managing titrations—if you thrive in fast-paced settings and enjoy the challenge of managing sensitive medication protocols, this assignment has your name on it. Expect a 1:4 to 1:5 staff-to-patient ratio, with every other weekend on call and no block schedules required. The hospital provides a collaborative environment where your expertise will be highly valued, especially as float shifts may sometimes take you to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical floors.
