Job description

Join our team as an ER nurse on a 13-week travel contract at a community hospital located just 40 miles southwest of Savannah, Georgia. This role offers a chance to work in a fast-paced environment where you'll manage a broad spectrum of emergency cases—from back pain and lacerations to complex stroke and trauma patients. You’ll experience a supportive setting with dedicated triage and safety rooms, managing around 90 to 140 patients daily, depending on the season. The shift is 12-hour nights, giving you plenty of time to unwind after your shift while still enjoying your surroundings. This assignment is perfect for experienced ER nurses who thrive on multitasking, proficiency with IVs, drips, and troubleshooting ventilator equipment, and who are comfortable working without floating. The facility values high patient acuity and requires at least two years of ER experience, with a preference for ICU hold experience. Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC is required, and travel experience is welcomed but not mandatory. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team of physicians, midlevels, and charge nurses, all committed to providing excellent patient care with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Weather:

Expect generally mild to warm temperatures around this time of year, with plenty of sunshine and low chances of rain, perfect for outdoor adventures and exploring the scenic southern coast.

Fun Things To Do:

  • Beach day at nearby beaches along the Georgia coast
  • Exploring historic downtown Savannah and its charming squares
  • Day trip to Tybee Island for boating, dining, and relaxing on the beach
  • Visit Fort Frederica National Monument on St. Simons Island
  • Take a scenic train ride through the Georgia Lowcountry
