The calm nighttime hours and a manageable patient ratio of 1:5-6 make for a focused work experience, with orientation and onboarding handled smoothly to get you settled quickly. This is an excellent opportunity for seasoned neuro nurses seeking a new adventure with a reputable organization.

Job Specifics:

Location: Peoria, Illinois
Shift: 12-hour night shifts
Duration: 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week, including every other weekend and holiday rotations. Expect orientation comprising 2 days of computer and unit-specific training, plus 1 day with a preceptor for direct patient care. Lights out and quiet during night shifts, offering a focused work environment suited for experienced neuro RNs. Schedule flexibility is encouraged where possible, with floating in rotation among the staff, always within your scope of expertise. Additionally, you will be supported by a team of nurse aides and telemetry techs, and be expected to manage IV drips like Heparin with your proven skills. The role entirely involves neuro and medical-surgical patient care with no direct patient care or other units outside this scope.
