Schedule: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday
Position Type: Union – Temp-to-Hire (Permanent after 300 hours worked)Position SummaryThe Rubber Injection Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring rubber injection molding machines to produce high-quality molded rubber components. This position ensures products meet quality standards, production goals, and safety requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.This is a union position with the opportunity to go permanent after 300 hours worked.Key Responsibilities

Schedule: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday
Position Type: Union – Temp-to-Hire (Permanent after 300 hours worked)Position SummaryThe Rubber Injection Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring rubber injection molding machines to produce high-quality molded rubber components. This position ensures products meet quality standards, production goals, and safety requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.This is a union position with the opportunity to go permanent after 300 hours worked.Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate rubber injection molding machines according to work orders and production specifications
- Load raw rubber materials and monitor injection cycles
- Adjust machine settings including temperature, pressure, and cycle times
- Inspect finished parts for defects and proper dimensions
- Trim excess material (flash) and perform basic finishing tasks
- Complete production reports and required documentation accurately
- Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot minor issues and report concerns to supervisors
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous rubber injection molding or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read work orders and use measuring tools (calipers, gauges)
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
- Basic math skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
- Must be able to pass a background check (no felony convictions)
- Manufacturing facility in Chardon, Ohio
- Exposure to heat, moving machinery, and industrial noise
- Requires standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive hand movements
