Job description

Join our team for a six-week contract as a PACU RN at Los Alamos Medical Center, located in the scenic Northern New Mexico. This role offers the opportunity to work in a charming, 47-bed acute care facility where you'll focus on adult postoperative recovery, handling cases like appendectomies and gallbladder removals. Your days will be filled with meaningful work, as you oversee patient recovery with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:1 or 1:2. Expect to work primarily daytime shifts with some on-call responsibilities, providing a great balance of work and flexibility. This contract is perfect for experienced RNs with at least two years of PACU or Preop experience who thrive in a focused, supportive environment—note that certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required upfront. All certifications must be current and provided upon submission, as they are not available on site. The unique setting combines the quiet beauty of Northern New Mexico with the rewarding challenge of specialized recovery work, making this a memorable travel assignment.
