Join us for a 13-week travel contract working in the intermediate care unit of a hospital in Rockford, Illinois. This role involves night shifts, with 12-hour overnight shifts providing an opportunity to experience a different rhythm of healthcare delivery. You’ll be managing patients with conditions such as stroke, cardiac issues, sepsis, and postoperative cases, including trach cares, Bipap, and IV titration. This assignment offers plenty of opportunities to sharpen your skills in heparin, nitro, cardizem, levo, precedex drips, and troubleshooting ventilator equipment like Cpap, Bipap, or high flow systems. Working in a team environment, you’ll collaborate with CNA support staff and monitor rhythms interpreting strips from advanced telemetry systems. Experience in managing titratable drips, performing trach cares, and working with ventilator equipment are must-have skills for this role. The environment is fast-paced yet supportive, providing a chance to deliver crucial care in a specialized unit while enjoying a focus on clinical expertise. The orientation includes 12 hours of non-billable training to ensure you’re well-prepared. Travel professionals will meet all licensing and certification requirements, including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, with a clear understanding that this is a drug-free facility.
