• Assignment End Date: January 15, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts, 4 shifts per week; primarily Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
• Call Schedule: Rotating weekday, weekend, and holiday call; approximately one weeknight call and one weekend call period per month. A 30-minute response time is required.
• Electronic Medical Record: Epic
• Orientation: Three shifts over one week

Operating Room RN Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in West Virginia
• 2–3 years of recent operating room nursing or perioperative RN experience
• 2–3 previous travel nurse assignments preferred
• Orthopedic operating room experience required
• Experience passing instruments and equipment in and out for robotic procedures required
• Experience with a broad range of surgical specialties, including general, ENT, ophthalmology, orthopedic, neurological, vascular, trauma, pediatric, and robotic procedures
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• PALS certification preferred
• Epic experience required
• Ability to work independently, including supporting overnight coverage when scheduled
• Operating room scrubbing experience is a plus but not required

Travel OR Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care throughout the perioperative experience.
• Circulate operating room procedures across a diverse range of specialties and case types.
• Support orthopedic, robotic, general, ENT, ophthalmology, neurological, vascular, trauma, pediatric, and emergent surgical cases.
• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, supplies, and documentation in accordance with surgical and patient safety standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and other members of the perioperative team.
• Participate in weekday, weekend, and holiday call rotations and respond within the required timeframe.
• Float to outpatient surgery as needed to support continuity of care and department operations.
• Demonstrate flexibility across service lines and maintain readiness to support a high-volume surgical environment.
