CVOR / Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Travel Nursing Assignment in Vero Beach, FL

Join a collaborative cardiovascular care team as a Cath Lab Registered Nurse supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. This 13-week travel nursing assignment in Vero Beach, Florida offers the opportunity to work in a short-term acute care teaching environment while caring for adult patients undergoing complex cardiac procedures. First-time travel nurses are welcome.

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,120–$2,230
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel Registered Nurse assignment
• Location: Vero Beach, Florida
• Start Date: December 1, 2026
• Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week
• Shift: 6:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Scheduled Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call Requirement: Required; must be able to respond within 30 minutes
• Charting: EPIC experience preferred or equivalent electronic health record experience
• Float: May float within the nurse’s scope of practice to support patient care needs

Cath Lab Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 18 months of recent Registered Nurse experience; 2 years preferred
• Experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory, CVOR, or comparable cardiovascular procedural setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Demonstrated competency with adult diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Competency with left- and right-heart catheterization and pulmonary artery line/Swan-Ganz monitoring
• Ability to meet call-response requirements and complete required pre-start education and competency assessments
• Two recent professional references from a direct supervisor, manager, assistant nurse manager, or department director

CVOR and Cath Lab RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures
• Prepare patients, verify procedural readiness, and provide education throughout the peri-procedural experience
• Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, including left- and right-heart procedures
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation in accordance with applicable policies and scope of practice
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, and patient response to treatment
• Recognize and respond to dysrhythmias, complications, and changes in patient condition
• Support pulmonary artery line/Swan-Ganz monitoring and other cardiovascular monitoring activities
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary procedural team to promote excellent patient outcomes
• Participate in required call coverage and support department operations as needed
