LPN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,120–$1,180
• Location: Penn Yan, NY
• Healthcare Setting: On-site primary care and pediatric physician practice
• Start Date: November 9, 2026
• End Date: February 13, 2027
• Contract Duration: Approximately 14 weeks
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday; five 8-hour day shifts per week
• Shift Options: 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; indicate schedule preference during submission

Licensed Practical Nurse Requirements

• Current New York State LPN license
• At least 1 year of Licensed Practical Nurse experience in a physician practice or primary care setting
• Required pediatric nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or RQI
• Strong communication, organization, clinical judgment, and patient-service skills

Primary Care LPN Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow from registration through discharge to promote efficient, timely outpatient care
• Perform nursing assessments, obtain vital signs, collect patient data, and document accurately in the electronic medical record
• Prepare pediatric and adult patients for office visits by gathering provider notes, laboratory results, and diagnostic information
• Assist providers with examinations, office-based procedures, and routine primary care services
• Schedule office visits, procedures, and diagnostic studies, including obtaining required prior authorizations
• Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions, treatment plans, and care needs
• Manage clinical phone calls, communicate concerns to providers, and provide appropriate follow-up
• Coordinate prescription refill requests and monitor laboratory and diagnostic results, escalating urgent findings appropriately
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, pulmonary function testing, vaccine administration, and other clinical testing and treatments as assigned
• Conduct CLIA-waived testing according to established laboratory protocols, including quality control and documentation
• Monitor and maintain medical and office supply inventory
• Recognize and respond to medical emergencies in accordance with established protocols
