Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830–$1,930
• Location: Chicago, Illinois 60637
• Healthcare Setting: Onsite Infusion Therapy
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week, 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Openings: 2 Infusion Registered Nurse positions
• Orientation: 8 hours
• Clinical Focus: Peripheral IV placement, laboratory draws, blood product administration, and hydration therapy
• Chemotherapy: Chemotherapy administration is not required for this role

Infusion Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at the time of submission
• At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience, preferably in infusion therapy, IV therapy, outpatient care, or a closely related specialty
• Excellent peripheral IV insertion and vascular access skills
• Experience or demonstrated competency with blood product administration, hydration therapy, and laboratory specimen collection
• Ability to provide safe, accurate, and compassionate patient care in an outpatient or specialty infusion environment
• Strong patient assessment, communication, organization, and electronic health record documentation skills

Infusion Nursing Responsibilities

• Assess patients before, during, and after infusion therapy and report changes in condition appropriately
• Perform peripheral IV insertions with a high level of clinical proficiency
• Collect laboratory specimens and draw ordered blood work
• Administer blood products and hydration therapies according to established protocols
• Monitor patients for therapeutic response, adverse reactions, and potential complications
• Accurately document nursing assessments, treatments, patient responses, and follow-up care
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe and efficient patient flow
• Provide clear patient education regarding infusion treatments, monitoring, and follow-up instructions
