• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 3 x 12-hour night shifts (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,480 - $2,610
• Schedule: Self-scheduling with weekend coverage as needed
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• Location: Eureka, California
• Unit Focus: Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
• Additional Notes: Float assignments may be required within scope to meet facility needs

Job Requirements

• Active California RN license required at time of submission
• At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Postpartum nursing experience preferred
• Current ACLS, BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with high-risk OB, cesarean sections, and postpartum/newborn care strongly preferred
• Ability to work nights, weekends as needed, and float within scope
• Must be comfortable supporting a culturally diverse patient population
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork are essential

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care throughout labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn recovery
• Support and monitor high-risk obstetric patients in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
• Circulate for cesarean sections and assist with vaginal deliveries as needed
• Perform fetal monitoring, assess labor progress, and respond to changes in maternal or fetal status
• Provide newborn assessments, stabilization support, and parent education
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and obstetric interventions according to best practices
• Document care accurately in Epic and maintain clear communication with the healthcare team
• Educate and support patients and families during one of the most important moments in their lives
