• Location: Eureka, CA 95501
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Job

• Duration: 26 weeks
• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,480 - $2,610
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Patient Volume: Approximately 15-20 visits per day
• Facility Environment: Labor & Delivery unit caring for high-risk OB and postpartum patients

Job Requirements

• Active California RN license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
• Minimum of 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• Postpartum experience preferred
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP
• Epic charting experience required
• Ability to work weekends as needed to support staffing
• Willingness to float within scope based on facility needs
• Must be comfortable working with high-risk obstetric patients and a culturally diverse population
• Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum support
• Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and high-risk obstetric cases
• Circulate for C-sections and support surgical procedures as needed
• Perform newborn assessments, postpartum assessments, and patient education
• Support triage, fetal monitoring, IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Float within scope when needed to meet facility needs
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care
