Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of healthcare food service experience
• Knowledge of safe food handling, sanitation, and infection control practices
• Ability to follow prescribed diets and identify food allergies and sensitivities
• Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
• Ability to maintain attendance, punctuality, and professional appearance standards

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble, and deliver patient meals and snacks according to dietary needs
• Support menu selection and offer appropriate alternatives based on allergies, preferences, and restrictions
• Prepare cold food items and assist with hot food preparation as needed
• Update diet changes and distribute menus, tallies, and meal tickets
• Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and ware washing
• Stock nourishment rooms and kitchen areas using FIFO rotation and discard expired items
• Assist with cafeteria duties including serving, grilling, stocking, cleaning, and cash handling
• Monitor food, refrigeration, and dish machine temperatures and sanitizer strength
• Operate, clean, and maintain equipment while following safety guidelines
• Communicate effectively with leadership and provide a positive experience for patients, visitors, and staff
