• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Orientation: 72 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 - $2,270
• Work Setting: On-site
• Schedule Notes: May float to other MedSurg Oncology units as needed

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in hand at the time of submission
• At least 1 year of recent inpatient hematology/oncology and medical-surgical experience required
• Current acute care experience in the specialty within the last 12 months required
• Experience caring for patients with leukemia, blood dyscrasias, lymphoma, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and multiple myeloma required
• Epic charting experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
• ACLS preferred
• Completion of compliance requirements and Ohio fingerprinting promptly after booking
• Graduation from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program required

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to hematology/oncology and bone marrow transplant patients
• Administer chemotherapy and safely manage blood and blood product transfusions
• Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Perform and maintain central line, implanted port, and PICC line care
• Support stem cell transplant and CAR-T therapy patients with a strong focus on infection prevention and fall prevention
• Use Epic for accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver efficient, patient-centered care
• Assist with nausea and vomiting management, isolation precautions, and recognition of abnormal lab values
