• Orientation: 72 hours
• Contract Length: 16 weeks

• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Float Requirement: Required to float to similar or lower-acuity Med/Surg Oncology units
• Setting: Adult Med/Surg Oncology and Telemetry

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care experience in a Med/Surg Telemetry or Med/Surg Tele RN role
• Current and consistent experience within the last 12 months is required
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Experience with telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and oncology-related care strongly preferred
• Ability to provide 2 professional references, including at least 1 manager, director, or supervisor reference
• Completion of required compliance and fingerprinting steps within the required timeline

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adults and geriatrics on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry changes
• Support patients receiving chemotherapy, symptom management, and treatment for complex medical conditions
• Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and perform required nursing interventions
• Care for patients with ports, central lines, PICC lines, and other specialized access devices
• Assist with blood product administration, insulin drips, chest tube care, and respiratory support as needed
• Promote infection prevention and fall prevention practices throughout every shift
• Accurately document care in Epic and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Float to comparable units when needed to support patient care and staffing needs
