Job Details

• Position: Travel Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Tele
• Location: Columbus, OH 43210
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts; days and nights available
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Duration: 16 weeks
• Weekends: Variable based on unit needs
• Floating: Required to other Med/Surg Oncology units
• Charting System: Epic
• Orientation: 72 hours
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or a related specialty
• Current, active RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Telemetry interpretation and telemetry monitoring experience required
• Oncology nursing experience preferred, but not required
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Experience with infection prevention and patient fall prevention strongly valued
• ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing education preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric oncology patients
• Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in patient condition promptly
• Support patients receiving treatment for solid tumor cancers and related medical-surgical needs
• Maintain a strong focus on infection prevention protocols and fall prevention
• Administer medications and treatments per nursing standards and unit protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support safe, effective patient care
• Float to related Med/Surg Oncology units as needed
• Document thoroughly and accurately in Epic
