• Unit Notes: Floating required to other Med/Surg oncology units; weekend coverage varies based on unit needs

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in the specialty
• Current experience in Med/Surg Telemetry required
• Experience with telemetry interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• BLS certification required
• Experience with EPIC charting preferred
• Oncology experience preferred, but not required
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts as assigned
• Must be comfortable with a dynamic schedule and occasional floating

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care to medically complex oncology patients
• Monitor telemetry and respond to rhythm changes appropriately
• Administer medications, fluids, and supportive treatments according to the plan of care
• Support patients receiving antineoplastic therapy and related medical-surgical care
• Maintain strong infection prevention practices and patient fall precautions
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in EPIC
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote the best patient outcomes
• Float to other Med/Surg oncology units as needed
• Deliver excellent patient education and emotional support throughout the care journey
• Contribute to a calm, organized, and patient-focused unit environment
