• Duration: 16 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric medical-surgical oncology patients
• Charting System: Epic
• Orientation: 72 hours
• Float Requirement: May float to other med/surg oncology units of equal or lower acuity
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required
• Flu Vaccine: Required with medical exemptions only

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• Current acute care experience in the specialty required
• Active Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation preferred
• Ability to manage ports, central lines, PICCs, and IV access
• Strong oncology, med/surg, or telemetry background preferred
• Must be comfortable with a patient ratio of 1:4
• Two professional references required, including one from a manager, director, or other formal leader

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric med/surg telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Support patients receiving chemotherapy, symptom management, and treatment for complex oncology diagnoses
• Administer medications and therapies safely, including blood products and IV treatments as ordered
• Maintain infection prevention practices and strong fall-prevention standards
• Perform line care and support access/management of ports, central lines, PICCs, and peripheral IVs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote safe, coordinated patient care
• Float to other med/surg oncology units as needed based on census and staffing
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Epic
• Work with a team-focused mindset in a busy, supportive hospital environment
