• Position: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry RN
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract

• Setting: Adult and geriatric medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts with day and night coverage
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Contract Length: 16 weeks
• Start Date: 11/2/2026
• Orientation: 72 hours
• Charting System: Epic
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience in the specialty area
• Current acute care experience must be active and consistent within the last 12 months
• Valid compact or state RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS certification required
• Telemetry interpretation and telemetry monitoring experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• Strong attention to infection prevention and fall prevention best practices
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or formal leader

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for patients with med/surg and telemetry needs
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Support patients with common oncology-related diagnoses and complex medical needs
• Administer medications and treatments according to unit protocols and physician orders
• Maintain a strong focus on patient safety, infection prevention, and fall reduction
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient-centered acute care
• Float to other med/surg oncology units as needed
• Deliver compassionate care throughout the treatment journey, including supportive and end-of-life care
