• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Shifts Per Week: 3 shifts
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Orientation: 72 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Variable based on unit needs
• Floating: Required to comparable Med/Surg Oncology units as needed
• Charting System: Epic

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in the Med/Surg Telemetry specialty
• Active compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Recent acute care experience must be current and consistent within the last 12 months
• Epic experience required
• Strong telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Experience with ports, central line care, PICC line management, IV starts, and blood product administration
• Comfortable with chest tube care, arterial line management, HFNC, and ABG interpretation
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced oncology and medical-surgical environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric medical-surgical telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition promptly and appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments, including complex therapies as ordered
• Support patients receiving chemotherapy-related care with a strong focus on infection prevention and fall prevention
• Care for patients with a variety of diagnoses, including cancer, sickle cell crises, and other complex medical conditions
• Manage lines, drains, and telemetry equipment while maintaining accurate assessments and clinical documentation in Epic
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rehabilitation, and other interdisciplinary team members
• Adapt to unit needs, including floating to similar acuity Med/Surg Oncology units when needed
