Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in a Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse role
• Current acute care experience must be active and consistent within the last 12 months
• Valid compact or state RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS certification
• Epic experience required
• Telemetry interpretation and telemetry monitoring experience
• Ability to manage Med/Surg oncology patients with strong attention to safety and infection prevention
• Oncology experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adults and geriatrics on a busy Med/Surg Tele unit
• Monitor telemetry and identify changes in cardiac rhythm and patient condition
• Support patients with solid tumor cancers across the continuum of care, from diagnosis through treatment and transition planning
• Administer and manage IV therapies, blood products, and chemotherapy-related care as appropriate
• Maintain ports, central lines, and other common oncology-related therapies and equipment
• Support strong infection prevention practices and patient fall-reduction initiatives
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, pharmacy, respiratory services, and other interdisciplinary team members
• Float to other Med/Surg Oncology units as needed
• Deliver safe, compassionate, and efficient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment
