• Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Orientation: 72 hours
• Unit Focus: Adult and geriatric oncology/hematology care

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience required
• Current medical-surgical experience in the specialty area required
• Experience with oncology nursing or hematology nursing preferred
• BLS and ACLS required
• Epic charting experience required
• ONS certification preferred
• Experience with telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and rapid response support
• Must be comfortable working rotating weekend coverage based on unit needs
• Ability to float to other med-surg oncology units as needed
• Strong adherence to infection prevention, fall prevention, and patient safety practices

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients with hematologic and oncologic diagnoses
• Monitor and manage patients receiving blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, and specialty infusions
• Support care for complex conditions such as lymphoma, leukemia, multiple myeloma, and sickle cell disease
• Recognize and respond to oncologic emergencies and changes in patient condition
• Administer and monitor insulin drips, heparin drips, and other ordered therapies
• Perform telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias as part of daily patient care
• Assist with central line and peripheral IV care, including line maintenance and blood draws
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams to promote safe, coordinated care
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow unit protocols closely
• Support a patient-centered environment with a strong focus on safety, infection prevention, and fall reduction
