Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel Mammography Technologist
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,260 - $2,430
• Location: New Haven, Connecticut
• Shift: Day shift, Monday through Friday; 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM and 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM as needed
• Weekend Coverage: Every other Saturday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• Schedule Notes: Schedule posted one week in advance; if scheduled on Saturday, a weekday off is provided
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Float Requirement: Between 4 sites as needed
• Setting: Breast imaging / mammography
• Charting System: Epic
• Orientation: Provided prior to start
• Guaranteed Hours: Yes

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist or in a related radiology specialty
• ARRT M and ARRT R certification required
• Active BLS certification required
• Breast Ultrasound experience preferred
• Experience with Hologic mammography equipment required
• Travel Radiologic Technologist experience required
• Pending Connecticut license may be accepted, but license must be active prior to start
• Experience with Epic charting preferred
• Ability to work independently and adapt to multiple clinical locations
• Must be comfortable working with adult patient populations

Responsibilities

• Perform screening, diagnostic, and 3D mammography procedures with accuracy and professionalism
• Support high-quality breast imaging services in both outpatient and hospital-based settings
• Operate Hologic mammography equipment and follow established imaging protocols
• Maintain radiation safety standards and follow universal precautions/PPE procedures
• Provide compassionate patient care and clear communication throughout the imaging process
• Float between multiple sites while maintaining consistent productivity and quality standards
• Document procedures accurately in Epic and collaborate with radiology team members
• Adhere to scheduling expectations, including every-other-Saturday coverage
