Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel Mammography Technologist
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,260 - $2,430
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Schedule: Monday through Friday with shifts running 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM and 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM as needed
• Weekend Coverage: Every other Saturday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM; if scheduled on Saturday, a weekday off is provided
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Floating: Between 4 sites as needed
• Charting System: Epic
• Start Date: 10/19/2026
• Location: New Haven, CT 06510

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of mammography experience required
• ARRT R and ARRT M certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience with Hologic mammography equipment required
• Prior travel radiology experience required
• Active Connecticut radiologic technologist license required prior to the start date
• Breast ultrasound experience preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced breast imaging and women’s imaging environment

Responsibilities

• Perform screening, diagnostic, digital, and 3D mammography exams with accuracy and attention to patient comfort
• Support high-quality breast imaging services for adult patients in an acute care setting
• Operate and maintain imaging workflows using Hologic mammography equipment
• Follow radiation safety, isolation precautions, and universal precautions at all times
• Work collaboratively with the radiology team to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent patient care
• Float between multiple sites while maintaining professionalism and consistency across locations
• Document exams and follow established charting procedures in Epic
• Contribute to a patient-centered experience with compassion, precision, and attention to detail
