Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license; pending state license accepted with required timing before start
• Minimum of 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
• Full-time Level III NICU experience required; floating experience does not meet this requirement
• Level IV NICU experience highly preferred
• BLS and NRP required
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate required; may submit with certificate pending if needed
• Epic charting experience required
• BSN preferred
• Strong experience with neonatal critical care procedures and technologies
• Ability to work weekends and holiday coverage as scheduled

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to neonates and infants in a high-acuity NICU setting
• Monitor and manage critically ill newborns with complex diagnoses and treatment needs
• Support ventilator management, including high-frequency ventilation and conventional ventilation
• Assist with advanced neonatal procedures such as intubation, lumbar punctures, PICC placement, and chest tube placement
• Perform IV fluid management, medication calculations, lab draws, and IV placement
• Manage central lines, umbilical lines, wound and drain care, and ostomy care
• Interpret ABGs and support hemodynamic care, including IV drips and vasoactive medications
• Care for infants requiring whole-body cooling, respiratory support, and specialized neonatal interventions
• Float as needed within scope of practice to newborn care, postpartum, pediatric, and PICU-related infant care areas
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
