• Employment Type: Travel Surgical Technologist Job
• Setting: Short-term acute care operating room
• Location: Portland, OR 97213
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,660 - $1,780
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule Highlights: Weekend coverage and on-call shifts required; holiday commitment may apply
• Orientation: Included as part of the assignment

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of OR Tech or surgical technologist experience required; 2 years preferred
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential required or military training equivalent
• BLS certification required
• NBSTSA certification required
• Travel experience required
• Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, aseptic technique, and operating room workflows
• Experience with a broad range of surgical specialties preferred, including ortho, neuro, vascular, thoracic, ENT, urology, gynecology, general surgery, and robotics
• Ability to support Intuitive Surgical Systems XI and SI is highly valued

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures and ensure all required supplies and equipment are available
• Maintain a sterile field and follow established safety and infection control standards
• Assist surgeons and perioperative team members during a wide variety of adult surgical cases
• Set up case carts, instruments, and specialty equipment for complex procedures
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to help ensure efficient, high-quality patient care
• Support robotics cases and advanced surgical procedures when assigned
• Participate in on-call and weekend coverage as scheduled
• Collaborate closely with the OR team to deliver smooth, safe, patient-centered care throughout each case
