Job Details

• Position: CVOR Tech / Cardiovascular Operating Room Technologist
• Employment Type: Travel Assignment
• Location: Oak Ridge, Tennessee
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920 - $2,060
• Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
• Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call Requirement: 2 evenings per week and every other weekend
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Setting: Hospital CVOR / Surgical Services
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• End Date: January 18, 2027

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a community hospital or CVOR environment
• Travel surgical technologist experience required
• NBSTSA certification required
• BLS certification required (AHA)
• TN or compact licensure in hand at the time of submission
• Experience with cardiovascular surgical procedures preferred
• Experience with Cerner is preferred, but not required
• Ability to work scheduled call, weekends, and holiday coverage as needed

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operating room with cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures
• Support cases including CABG, valve replacement, lung resection, thoracotomy, VATS, and related procedures
• Prepare and maintain a safe, efficient surgical environment throughout procedures
• Provide instrument and equipment support for complex cardiac and vascular cases
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and perioperative team members to ensure smooth case flow
• Maintain readiness for on-call assignments, including evenings and every other weekend
• Follow all unit protocols and contribute to excellent patient-centered care
