Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920 - $2,060
• Employment Type: Travel CVOR Tech
• Setting: Hospital-based cardiovascular surgery unit
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• Duration: 17 weeks
• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
• Schedule: 5x8 day shift, 06:00 - 14:30, with call required after 2:30pm, weekends, and holidays
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Charting: Cerner preferred
• Location: Midland, Texas (79701)

Job Requirements

• 2 years of experience in cardiovascular surgery or CVOR preferred
• Community hospital experience required
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential required; NBSTSA or NCCT accepted
• BLS certification required
• Pending license accepted with submission, but license must be active before start
• Ability to work a firm 5x8 schedule with call coverage
• Experience with Cerner preferred
• RTO must be submitted with application; some holidays should be expected

Responsibilities

• Assist the cardiovascular operating room team in cardiovascular and vascular procedures with precision and efficiency
• Prepare the OR, instruments, supplies, and equipment for daily surgical cases
• Maintain sterile technique and support patient safety throughout procedures
• Support complex CVOR cases, including CABG, aneurysm repairs, carotid procedures, TEVAR, hybrid OR cases, and other cardiovascular surgeries
• Handle specimen labeling, universal protocol/time-out procedures, and isolation precautions as needed
• Work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and perioperative staff to ensure smooth case flow
• Respond to call coverage needs after hours, on weekends, and during holidays
