Job Requirements
- Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine through ABEM or AOBEM; ABPS Emergency Medicine board-certified candidates are also welcome
- At least 1 year of emergency medicine experience required
- Current ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Ability to work consistent night shifts in a fast-paced emergency department
- Eligibility for appropriate credentialing and Virginia licensure
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency medical care in a busy, integrated emergency department
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
- Perform critical interventions and stabilize patients for admission or transfer when needed
- Collaborate with nursing staff, specialists, hospitalists, and intensivists to ensure seamless patient care
- Support efficient patient flow during night coverage
- Manage a broad range of adult and pediatric emergency medicine cases
