Job Details

• Setting: Hospital-based physical therapy
• Employment Type: Contract to hire
• Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 8 hours
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, plus one weekend per month
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,820 - $1,950
• Location: Bayonne, NJ 07002
• Start Date: 10/05/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of patient evaluation, treatment planning, and reassessment practices
• Ability to complete clinical documentation accurately and within required timelines
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, patient-focused healthcare setting
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
• Experience with home health documentation systems and Microsoft Teams is preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs
• Establish measurable goals and regularly reassess progress toward improved function, mobility, and independence
• Communicate patient progress and care needs with the treatment team, providers, and family members as appropriate
• Recommend adaptive equipment and incorporate assistive tools into treatment plans when needed
• Complete and submit evaluation, treatment, and billing documentation within required timeframes
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Physical Therapy Aides in accordance with state practice guidelines
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and continuing education activities
• Support safe, compliant, and high-quality patient care in alignment with professional standards
