• Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Shift Length: 10 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

• Guaranteed Hours: Yes
• Pre-Approved Time Off: One week

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to start
• Minimum of 2 years of oncology nursing experience required
• Outpatient clinic experience required
• Phone triage experience required
• Ambulatory nursing experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
• Experience with Epic preferred
• Travel nursing experience required
• Ability to float within scope to support clinic needs

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to oncology patients in an outpatient clinic environment
• Perform telephone triage and manage in-basket communications efficiently
• Assist providers during new patient visits, return visits, follow-up appointments, pre-op, and post-op care
• Support patients before, during, and after treatment with safe, compassionate care
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to promote smooth patient flow
• Monitor for symptoms, treatment side effects, and abnormal findings, and escalate concerns as needed
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, symptom management, and follow-up care
• Float between specialty clinic areas as needed within scope of practice
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and support a high standard of clinic operations
• Work in a non-infusion oncology clinic setting; infusion services are handled separately
