Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Weekend Coverage: Required

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250

Job Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent PICU experience required
• Current PICU experience must be reflected in work history
• First-time travel nurses may be considered with close to 3 years of PICU experience
• Recent Level I experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Epic experience preferred; candidate should self-rate at least 3/4 in Epic
• Two supervisory references required at time of submission, including at least one manager or supervisor
• Must be willing to float to NICU, CV PICU, ED, stepdown, and med-surg as needed
• No local candidates within 60 miles
• Must meet all clinical and compliance requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition using strong clinical judgment
• Manage complex pediatric interventions, including ventilator support, arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Support airway management, suctioning, and advanced respiratory care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote excellent patient outcomes
• Adapt quickly to floating assignments while maintaining a high standard of care
• Document patient care accurately in the Epic charting system
• Maintain a professional, compassionate approach with patients and families
