Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures, sterile technique, and operating room safety
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented surgical environment
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, prioritization, and patient safety skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing support in the Cardiovascular Operating Room
• Prepare the operating room for complex cardiovascular procedures and maintain a safe, sterile environment
• Assist surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative care team throughout procedures
• Monitor patients closely and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Document care accurately and communicate important clinical updates to the care team
• Promote high standards of patient care, safety, and teamwork throughout the surgical experience
