Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment in Kerrville, TX

Travel Labor & Delivery RN job in Kerrville, Texas: Join a dynamic Women's Services team in the scenic Texas Hill Country, just about an hour from San Antonio. Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,820 - $1,910
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 9/21/2026
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
• Hours per Week: 36
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Weekend Coverage: 26 weekend shifts per contract
• Setting: Labor & Delivery / Women's Services
• Location: Kerrville, TX 78028 - a scenic Hill Country location with a relaxed pace, natural beauty, and convenient access to San Antonio
• Floating: Required to Med/Surg in rotation with full-time staff
• Patient Volume: Approximately 30-50 deliveries per month

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Experience with Antepartum, Intrapartum, and Postpartum couplet care preferred
• Strong charting skills; Centricity experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, and NRP
• AHA certifications required
• Nursys verification required
• Comfortable floating to Med/Surg and taking an assignment there as needed
• Ability to work 3 of the 5 winter holidays
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination requirements apply, with approved exemptions or declinations allowed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in Labor & Delivery and Women's Services
• Support antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and couplet care needs
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and high-risk deliveries
• Monitor fetal status and perform interventions using EFM and related obstetric tools
• Deliver patient education, discharge teaching, and lactation support when needed
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products according to best practice
• Recognize and respond to obstetric emergencies, including hemorrhage and fetal distress
• Float to Med/Surg when assigned and contribute to team coverage as needed
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow unit protocols and safety standards
