Job Details

• Position: Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician
• Location: Mount Pleasant, Michigan
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 25, 2026
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Coverage: 24/7 hospital coverage with on-call responsibilities every 5th week of the month
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,290 - $7,450
• Patient Volume: Approximately 4 deliveries per day
• Clinical Support: 2 NPs on staff
• EHR: Cerner

Job Requirements

• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
• Active Michigan medical license required
• At least 2 years of OB/GYN experience required
• Experience with low-risk pregnancy care, vaginal deliveries, and C-sections
• Proficiency in repairing 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
• Experience with VBAC, OB ultrasound, and amniocentesis preferred
• Ability to provide on-call hospital coverage and respond to emergent surgical needs

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive OB/GYN coverage for labor and delivery services
• Respond to emergency department and urgent surgical needs as indicated
• Perform surgical coverage and manage emergent obstetric and gynecologic cases
• Complete clinic consults for emergent cases to determine need for admission
• Provide high-quality patient care during on-call coverage periods
• Work collaboratively with clinical support staff to ensure smooth patient flow and safe care delivery
