Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent full-time equivalent nursing experience within the last 3 years
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where care is provided
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• ACLS certification preferred/required for consideration
• Labor & Delivery RN experience strongly preferred
• High-risk Labor & Delivery experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring patients, postpartum patients, and newborns in a high-acuity Labor & Delivery unit
• Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in maternal and fetal conditions
• Support deliveries and assist with procedures as needed within the scope of an L&D RN
• Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, and the care team to promote positive patient outcomes
• Deliver education and emotional support to patients and families throughout the birthing process
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold hospital standards for quality, safety, and patient care
