Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where care is provided
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- ACLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year of recent, full-time equivalent nursing experience within the last 3 years
- Labor & Delivery nursing experience preferred, including high-risk obstetric experience
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, attentive, and patient-centered care to laboring mothers and newborns
- Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Support patients and families throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care
- Collaborate with physicians and the care team to promote positive birth outcomes
- Assist with high-risk labor and delivery situations as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established clinical protocols
- Promote a calm, supportive environment during every stage of care
