Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state where care is provided
- Minimum of 1 year of recent full-time equivalent nursing experience within the last 3 years
- At least 1 year of recent high-risk Labor & Delivery experience within the last 2 years preferred
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field preferred
- Five or more years of recent Labor & Delivery experience preferred
- High-risk OB experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Support safe deliveries through strong clinical assessment and critical thinking
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and the maternal-child health care team to ensure excellent outcomes
- Assist with high-risk obstetric situations and neonatal stabilization as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established clinical protocols
- Deliver a calm, reassuring presence to patients and families during an important life event
