Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg or related acute care experience
• One prior travel nursing assignment preferred
• BLS certification from AHA required
• NIHSS required; ASLS accepted for applicable Med/Surg experience
• Ability to work flexible travel assignments and adapt during the shift
• Experience with medical-surgical patient care, telemetry, and common acute care diagnoses
• Comfortable floating to related units as needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to Med/Surg patients in an acute care environment
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions using MEDITECH
• Administer medications and coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Manage a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:6
• Support patients with a variety of surgical and medical needs, including telemetry monitoring
• Float to related units such as Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, and Acute Care as assigned
• Collaborate with unit resources including charge nurse support, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy coverage
• Maintain flexibility with changing assignments while upholding excellent patient care standards
