• Position: Travel Labor & Delivery RN
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Setting: Labor/Delivery unit with labor, postpartum, couplet care, and triage responsibilities
• Location: Fairbanks, Alaska
• Start Date: 09/27/2026
• Duration: 16 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,700 - $2,840
• Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
• On-Call Requirement: 3 shifts per 6-week period
• Floating: May float to other departments as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska, or willingness to begin the application process within 24 hours of acceptance if not currently licensed
• 3+ years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience in a hospital setting
• Travel nursing experience required
• Recent experience with postpartum, couplet care, and circulating for C-sections
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work scheduled weekends, on-call shifts, and occasional float assignments

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, postpartum, and couplet care
• Support triage and assist with circulating for C-sections as needed
• Monitor patients closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
• Educate and reassure patients and families throughout the birth experience
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established unit protocols and best practices
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented care environment in a busy Labor & Delivery setting
